Six individuals, scattered across vast distances, unite in their struggle to endure the harsh winter in the Alaskan wilderness. In Noorvik, Chip hurries to set whitefish nets on precarious ice for one last seasonal haul. Fishing on the frozen river is treacherous, yet it's crucial to gather enough fish to survive the winter months. Meanwhile, Andy assesses the safety of the river near his home, which serves as his connection to the outside world. Without this vital winter route, he faces the threat of isolation and entrapment.
